UW-Milwaukee Academic Program and Curriculum Committee records, 1936- .

Records of a campus wide committee which directed the development of new and existing instructional units, programs, courses, and curricular matters. The collection contains correspondence, minutes, and inter-departmental memos documenting new course proposals, creation of new departments, and changes in course descriptions. The records from before the merger in 1956 consist of general report and recommendations on curricula from the Milwaukee State Teacher's College and the Wisconsin State College, Milwaukee. Of particular interest are the audits and reviews of various colleges, schools, and departments within the university and the Ten Year Plan (1974-1984) which was intended to guide UWM into the future.
